“You don’t have the X-factor”

So, today is the day!

After having hired myself I am now out there on my own, taking full responsibility of my life and living my dream. Just while I was about to write this blog post to kick off my series “my first 100 days as a full-time entrepreneur” I received an email with the content

you are a great presenter, there is no doubt about that, but you don’t have the X-factor in your presentation talent that I am looking for. Please note that this is subjective and specific…“.

OK, so I am lacking the mysterious x-factor, which is subjective and specific… What does this mean? I have no idea. And I am certainly not too sure whether I should care enough to figure it out. Anyways, I decided not to care.

Rejection – now and then

In earlier days such a rejection would have eventually meant that I would think about the meaning of this phrase for ages, eventually would have feed potential doubts whether I am doing the right thing, whether I am the right person to go this step.

Today this message only gave me a massive push! A “watch me do what I was told I couldn’t” kind of push. It’s a subjective way to say “no, you are not the best match for this opportunity”. That’s it and that’s fine.

Actually this message has given me also an amazing intro for the original post topic I had planned to publish – my series “my first 100 days as a full-time entrepreneur”. I truly believe being an Entrepreneur is a lot about being your own biggest believer, knowing about your x-factor, setting goals and smashing them.

Entrepreneurship – less glamour, more hard work

Entrepreneurship combines a mix of rejection, learning not to please everyone, raising up after failure, making mistakes in the first instance, learning, trust and on going hustle and hard work.

So, today is my first “official” day as an entrepreneur. This doesn’t mean I start totally blank and without a plan but I have no longer an employer who is paying for my holidays, my lazy days or anything like this. If I don’t bring enough value, I won’t get paid. As we all know the glorious picture that is painted of Entrepreneurs on Instagram etc. I decided to share my journey, my first 100 days with you. The unglamorous, real world of a startup entrepreneur. I will blog here on MyNutShare in the category “build with me”about how I build SalesTrainerIn.

Come on, and build with me!
